If you are in a Cypriot church, look at the base of the main crucifix. You may well see a little skull and crossbones there too. Originally I thought it was an artist's signature, but somebody posted a comment after a blog explaining its true meaning.

This is what I want to happen with this blog. If you know anything about any of the images, please let me know, and I can update the blog to provide more useful information.

I have no idea what this one is supposed to represent, though there is a date on the inscription on the coffin lid: 1959.

Agios Raphael is well worth a visit. If you haven't yet been tempted to visit Pomos Harbour, bear in mind that this is only a few minutes up the road, so you can easily combine the two.
