Paphos Reservoir Update - April, 2026
Upstream
If you do want to follow the river to the forest, don't try and do so from here. Take the road along the western side until you come to a bridge crossing. After that a left turn signposting a Donkey Farm will take you up to Sinti Monastery. After that, you are on your own. Use maps and take your time. It is an adventurous route that requires a decent 4x4.
Evretou Reservoir
From the Asprokremmos we now head towards Polis and the Evretou Reservoir. This is what it looks like from the Simou Road. You might think it is pretty full now, but is actually still only 45%. Mind you, in January it was under 10%.
I was unable to fly the drone here, so I relied on the steep hills that surround it to take the shots.
Evretou Village
The water level has once again reached the abandoned village. When it is full though, it laps at the road you can see towards the front.
January View
Back in January, the area looked like a sea of mud. I'm gutted that I didn't get around to exploring that bridge down there though, before it got submerged again.
