Ammati Cave
Looking Up
Until you look up you can't really appreciate how deep the gorge runs here. So at some point at least, there must have been something more substantial.
Having said all that, I would not want to be down here during a thunder storm!
Back Up
Anyway, its time to explore that other turning we saw before I descended to the gorge.
Valley View
The path didn't actually go very far. I think it led to a dried-up waterfall. There was a chaotic assortment of rocks leading down into the undergrowth. On another day I might explore and see what is down there. However, from what I saw in the gorge, there is an awful lot of greenery downstream, and I imagine that there isn't much of a servicable walk there.
