Paphos Old Town in 2023 - Part 2
Absent Friend

We mentioned earlier about the temporary nature of a lot of the murals. No more is this more evident than in this square. Until a couple of years ago, there was an amazing mural spanning the building above Malu. It was the work of the artist Millo. You can see it on the first page of our Paphos Street Art article we posted a few years ago. I really need to do an updated version of that...
Anyway, the owner had to do renovation work on the building, and chose to paint over the artwork. This was a tragedy, as the piece was much nicer than any of the stencilled efforts that the likes of Banksy have put together. The good news is that Millo returned, and was commissioned to paint Millo's Tower in Geroskipou. Old Town's loss is definitely Geroskipou's gain.
The Place

There is one last venture I want to show you before we bring Part 2 to a close. This is a very photogenic building that features in a lot of photoshoots. There is so much more inside though, so be sure to go in for a visit.
Artisan Herbs

The interior reveals a selection of areas serving up a variety of artistic and artisan products.
Work In Progress

I had a brief chat with some of the Artisans who are working here. It had to be brief as I had been filming and photographing in the heat for over an hour now, and was beginning to melt.
Artist At Work

I will be returning in the near future though, with the intention of giving this place the attention it deserves. My action camera didn't really work in this low-light interior, but I have another I can use which will allow you to see what they are doing here. I shall also dedicate an entire article to the place, as there is much too much to deal with in this tour.
