Old Town 2022 Update - Part 2

Adapted Mural
One solution for ensuring the longevity of a mural is to combine it with something else. Here it becomes a nice addition to an outside seating area. Originally I thought that it had faded, and used to be a lot pinker. But in reality, all the pink was on the floor, as it there was parking space that was marked with a pink rectangle.
Street Art Square
Heading up towards Kennedy Square I was in for a big shock. Street Art Square is no more! Well, the Square is still here, but all the murals have now gone.
Back In The Day

Future Playground
The area is being turned into a children's play area. Complete with shades, before anybody moans! We will see more of this in the concluding part of the series. For now though, lets head up to Kennedy Square.

We shall finish Part 2 here. In the concluding part, we spend most of the time investigating what they are doing to the old park. If you thought the renovations in Old Paphos were complete, you would be mistaken!

Each time we take our camera around the new old Paphos, we seem to discover another set of murals. Last week was no different. I had to visit the main Cyta Office and as I had some time to kill I took the camera for a wander. eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
