Kato Paphos Renovations
Harbour View

And the Harbour looks delightful too. But enough on them. Let's get back to the car park.

No Right Turn

After you have driven along the sea front, note that there is no right turn. Instead, carry on towards the harbour and take the first right. The road then goes through the old carpark and loops around the new one, depositing you at the roundabout where where we were a few pictures ago. You used to have to drive down to the Archaeological Park Roundabout and double back on yourself. This is no longer the case.
Useful Shade

First, the winner of the opening roll rerolls for their first turn. Second, you get one point for a win and two points for a gammon. There is no backgammon. Finally, there is no doubling dice.
Personally, I find Backgammon becomes a completely different game when you use the doubling dice, but when in Rome...
Car Park View

Let's have one last look at the new carpark before we move on.
Bar Street Bonanza!

The sceond bit of renovation news comes from Bar Street, which will amaze a lot of you. You can see here that the abandoned nightclub next to Notorious has recently been boarded up and is much less of an eyesore.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
