Cyprus In Pictures - July 2023
We post a daily "Kalimera" picture to Facebook on a topical theme. I thought it would be nice to give them greater exposure, so have combined them into a monthly article. The pictures here are now viewable in their original Landscape glory. So take a look at a selection of pictures we feel summarises how July has been in our corner of Cyprus.
Summer Time And The Living Is Easy

Summer is now in full swing in Cyprus, and the sunbeds are out on the beaches. This is Corallia Beach, which is arguably the nicest beach in Paphos, depending on who you ask.
Ayia Napa Harbour

Meanwhile, on the other side of the island, we have a nice view of Ayia Napa Harbour.
Paphos Seafront Gym

In contrast to Corallia, the beach at Paphos Seafront is fairly minescule. Don't let that put you off if you fancy a swim or want to work out though. There is a free outdoor gym here, and the waters are crystal clear, and great for snorkelling. It is also a good place to see turtles. If you do get lucky and are able to swim with one, please don't touch it and definitely don't feed it.
Coral Bay

Next to Corallia Beach you will find Coral Bay Beach. It's a tough choice to decide which is nicer, so we won't! You will have a great day out at either. Buses run from Paphos frequently to both of them.
Paphos Basketball Competition

At the start of the month there was a fun sporting competition in October 28th Square. We captured the scene before the event with the help of our trusty drone.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
