Previously...
The last time Carnival was held was in 2020. A few days later, COVID forced the country into its first lockdown. This is the first Carnival since the pandemic was brought under control.
In previous years the carnival progress along the Hotel Strip to the Sea Front, a route we all know well! However, this year the parade runs from the Makarios Monument on the B6 to Kennedy Square. This will also show off the nice new road.
Expect Crowds and Confetti
The carnival is a very messy affair. Expect lots of confetti and canned foam string, and a lot of fun.
