Aftermath of the Aloe Hotel Fire
Aloe Spa

I walked around the side of the hotel to find an entrance to the spa, and here I am enjoying its facilities.

Running Machine

I imagine when the place was up and running that there was more equipment here. This machine's running days are over.
Pong

There was also the remains of a ping pong table here. Who knows, with a bit of TLC you might be able to get some more life out of it? Years ago, when we were kids, we found a ping pong table that had been dumped. The table was in perfect condition, though it had no legs or net. We managed to get it home though, much to our parents delight. By chance, we noticed in the local paper that somebody had a ping pong table they were giving away to whoever collected it. It had a buckled table, but came with legs and a net. So we wheeled that home too, with our bicycles. And yes, sure enough, we were able to combine the two together to make a fully functioning ping pong table. All we needed now were bats and balls. And talent. We got the bats and balls from Argos. Unfortunately, the talent never arrived and we soon got bored of picking up missed ping pongs from the floor. It ended its days as a perch for our cat to sit on as it gazed wistfully up at the bluetit nest in the guttering.
Corner Jakuzzi

I could see a solitary hot tub in the corner of the pool area. It had seen better days.

There were many side rooms, leading to showers, changing rooms, and a sauna. I couldn't find a steam room though.

Aloe Hotel In 2024
The Aloe Hotel closed in 2020. Since then it has remained derelict, home only to pigeons and the occasional rat.
