The main track continues downhill here. However, I wanted to explore the afore-mentioned gorge a bit, so I left the car here and went down the track behind me.

Narrow Gorge

I could see ahead of me that there was indeed a narrow gorge. I could also hear a babbling stream running below.

More Orchids

There is an abundance of flora here at the moment. Cyprus in springtime is a sea of colour. These orchids aren't the most attractive in the world, but they complement the yellows quite nicely.

This area I found particularly intriguing. It looks like a rectangular nook has been carved out of the rock at some point. Also, to the right of this picture, I could see remains of a couple of dry-stone walls. At some point in the past, this area was probably farmland. Unfortunately, now, it is nigh on impossible to get to.

St Anastasia Sulphur Spring

If you have driven from Paphos to Polis along the B7, you will probably have smelled the Sulphur Springs around Miliou as you drove past. The Abandoned Village of Theletra - Part 1

Old Theletra was abandoned several decades ago. The threat of landslides drove the population up the hll to a new settlement. Since then the village has mainly been left to crumble, save for its church and a few buildings which are still inhabited.
