The Pomos Coast
Hissing Sid

Yep, there was a sunbathing snake nestled on the rocks. Is this a blunt nosed viper or a coin snake?
I was amazed I spotted it, as it was very well camoflagued. I guess I must be getting more alert to them, which is a good skill to have out here. I even came across one in the ruins of the Archaeological Park, at the 40 Column Fort. It is a bit surprising as I wouldn't expect them to be around at this time of year.
I filmed the snake as well, but it won't be the most interesting film in the world. It didn't move once and I only know for certain that it was alive because when I returned a minute later it had vanished.

Barren Pools

It's a nice area to explore, and it isn't too much of a scramble to get down to the shoreline.
Spring Has Sprung

And the flowers are beginning to appear! Yay! Over the next few months Cyprus goes into bloom and even mundane areas will be awash with colour.
Mystery Memorial

No idea who this cross is for. Dread to think, really. There must be some grim history from around here.
Final Look

As stated, we do need to cover the area around Pomos more, as it is lovely. This was only a brief stop on our day's outing. I thought it deserved it's own blog, but rest assured, we will cover the area properly and give it the exposure it deserves in future reports.
