The Drive To Adonis Baths
The Peyia / Kathikas Route

Having driven both routes, we turned round and headed back towards Polemi. There is a turning just past the baths that leads to Koili, via a portion of the E4 walking route. This is a fun drive, especially if you continue off road past Koili and down into Stroumpi. Some of the tracks can be a challenge though, especially if you inadvertently take an old track that has been abandoned. the golden rule is don't drive down a track you won't be able to reverse out of.

Adonis Baths From Above

I tried to photograph the baths from the E4, as we passed above them. However, they are nestled in trees, and those trees shielded them from our gaze. So this statue is the best we can offer.
Lovely Countryside

The scenery up here is beautiful. You could be forgiven for thinking this was a view in Paphos Forest.
Green

The rains have made the landscape very lush.
Parting Shot

I will leave you with this shot. I took a similar picture last year, when I blogged about the Paphos Green Points. What you can see here is, I have been told, Aloe Vera in its death throes. It shoots out like this in a final spurt, to produce more plants, before dying off.
It takes a long time to die...
So, that is the route to Adonis Baths. If you don't like the baths, don't go to them. But some people do like them, and enjoy their visit, and somebody relies on them for their living. So rather than be hyper-critical, just be thankful that attractions like this will mean that attractions that you like will be slightly less busy. Win - Win!

Clean Up Paphos!
Rubbish has long been an issue in the region of Paphos. While fly-tipping no longer occurs on every hillside corner, it is still a big problem. In the last few years however, a number of Green Points have been set up throughout Paphos. The only trouble is, very few people seem to know about them. So we decided to track them all down, and show you what to expect when you visit. If you want the rubbish situation in Paphos to improve, it is in your own interests to use these places. We appreciate that a tour of recycling points won't make scintilating viewing, so we took the scenic route to bring you some pictures of the countryside too...

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
