Spring Blossom And Flowers
Nata View

This is the direction we will be heading in, though obviously by the road. We shall drive through Choletria, then turn left to the bridge across the Xeros River. From there we shall head up through Nata and across to the Ezousa Valley and Episkopi.

Beautiful

I have to admit though, that I could happily spend all day enjoying scenes like this. However, the article won't write itself.
The Xeros River Flows

In this shot you can see there is plenty of white water by the sluice on the way down to the reservoir. That route to Foinikas is off-limits at the moment, unless you are on foot and wearing wellies.
Anyway, the route through Nata was nice enough, but under grey clouds. Consequently the pictures were nothing to write home about. So I will pick up the story of our adventure when get to the Episkopi Valley.
Ezousa Floods

When we got to the Ezousa Valley we decided to drive along it to the old abandoned water mill, then veer left up to Kallepeia. On the way we could photograph a lovely church near the village, and have a picnic somewhere. We had bought rolls and assorted nick-nacks from the supermarket near the dam, just for this purpose.
Underwater Road

It turns out that the Ezousa River has wiped out a lot of the track we wanted to use. Alex volunteered to be on recon duty (she was wearing flipflops) so went across first to identify the best route. Turns out, I had to head for the reeds on the left then veer right.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
