The Carob Festival took place next to Agios Georgios Chapel. We arrived early and parked in a nearby field. The parking was very well organised, with marshals ushering us to a suitable location. The first thing we did when we arrived was launch the drone. This is a view of the stage and seating area before the event began.

Stalls

The first thing we came upon when we entered (and admission was free) were the stalls selling the usual paraphernalia you get at Cypriot festivals. There was also one of those funny Pachinko-like games there.

A carob festival wouldn't be a carob festival without carob. And we saw some on a couple of tables. If you were expecting grown men walking around dressed up in carob costumes though, you would have been disappointed. It wasn't a Disney-like affair. In truth, while we were there, the humble carob didn't play much part at all. The festival was all about traditional Cypriot music and food.
