Park Of Colours Almost Ready
Imagine The Future

Imagine what this view will look like in a year or two. The plants have decent irrigation, so they should flourish. If you cast your mind back to our recent Old Town blog, the trees shown there were tiny saplings a few years ago. If that is replicated here the view will no doubt be a lot different.
So don't you dare moan about the lack of shade.
From The B7

Once I had finished at Paps I drove up the road until I was diverted to the left. Once on that road, if you take a left you end up in a cul-de-sac which has some more views of the park. Here we are at the other end of the carpark we saw at the start.
Playground

From this angle you can see the children's adventure playground they have built. There is a concrete barrier to the left of me, so I will climb up that and see if I can get a better shot.
Finishing Touches?

This is the area between Paps and the Cul-De-Sac. Is it going to be more car park, or will it serve another purpose? If there is an exit from Paps in this direction it will be quite handy, especially with the ongoing roadworks on Ellados Avenue.
Playground Closeup

The playground looks like it will be a lot of fun for kids. And there are trees providing plenty of shade.
So, how much longer will it be before the park opens? Not long, I think. Let's face it, what else is there to do? Once the vegetation has established itself, I think it will look really lovely, and be a great place to sit back and relax.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
