Distant Lighthouse

The Lighthouse in the Archaeological Park provides a handy landmark but also looks very pretty in its own right, especially when surrounded by Spring flowers.

Old City Wall

Speaking of archaeology, you will also get a chance to view part of the old city wall they uncovered when they were renovating the path. Here it is. They dug down to the left of it, and it was about 5 metres high, so quite substantial. In order to protect it, they filled in the hole again with rubble. I mention this because some idiots were saying that the rubble was where they had destroyed part of the old city wall. They hadn't, but this is the kind of nonsense that unfortunately seems to plague social media these days.

More Flowerbeds

Somebody was asking what those funny white blocks you see on the right here were. I think they are lights that illuminate the path at night. They also double as handy seats.

Another Shade Point

Here you can get an instagram selfie with the view of the MV Demetrios II shipwreck in the background. It ran aground in 1998. If you are wondering about the lack of shade provided, bear in mind that in Summer when the shade is most needed, the sun will be directly overhead, so the shadow will fall on the seating area.

Missed Opportunity

I had hoped to get a nice reflection shot from this sheltered pool by the sea, but there was just a little too much wind causing tiny ripples which disrupted the scene. Still, you get a nice view of the Chloraka Coastline.
