Paphos From Above
Over the last couple of months we've done a few films showing a drone-eye view of Paphos. While we were filming we also took some pictures. They've sat around gathering digital dust so I thought I would put them together into an article. So enjoy a bird's-eye view of Paphos...
St Nicholas Chapel

We shall begin our photo adventure with a slightly long-range shot of St Nicholas Chapel. This is a very popular wedding venue and is a very photogenic spot. There is an Archaeological Site behind it, which has been under some scrutiny in recent years. There are plans to build a hotel on the ruins, though I don't know what the current status is.
Going West

The coastline here is fairly rocky, though it would make snorkelling quite interesting. The hotels you can see are (from right to left) Pioneer Beach, Aquamare, Ivi Mare and Maris Beach.
Maris Beach

Moving west, the hotels soon become too numerous to mention here. You can easily locate them however, if you look in our Paphos Tourism Directory. You can also find information on all the beaches and travel agents there.
Sand and Rocks

From here the coastline looks mainly rocky, with the occasional jetty. However, as you approach the centre of Paphos you will find a number of Blue Flag beaches tucked away.
Athena Royal

This is the Athena Beach Hotel. Behind it and slightly to its right, you can just make out a tower which looks like a lighthouse. That belongs to the Aliathon Resort.
It is worth noting that Google Maps incorrectly identifies this as the Athena Royal Hotel. That is in fact on the far left of this picture.
