The Pafos2017 Closing Ceremony
Opening Credits

The show started rather bizarrely. We could all hear a marching band behind us, and it marched through the middle of the crowd, who got out of the way, up to the stage. They were playing Colonel Bogey.

Not a very good picture, but I tried many times to take a shot of the top of this tower with it's lights ablaze. This was the closest I got.

Meet the Pafos2017 Mastermind

There was a big screen to the left of the main stage. I photographed this as it had subtitles. Plus there was a big pillar between me and the lectern. This also explains the poor quality of the picture of the lady in the previous photo. Don't worry though, the rest of the shots will be of the stage!
Meet the Mayor!

Bravo Mayor!

New Old Paphos
It's been a few months since we last reported on the progress of the Old Paphos Regeneration Scheme.I had to visit the main Cyta Shop recently, and as I had time to kill I decided to take my camera for a stroll, to see how things were progressing. Autumn was in the air and the skies were fairly grey. There was even some rain at some point. However, the pictures will still hopefully show what a wonderful place Old Town Paphos is becoming.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
