Not That Way, Yet
The road leads down to the main road through Old Town. At this point, the road is one-way. So be sure to pay attention to what is coming from your right. We will go this way in Part 3. In this part though, we are heading towards the market, so turn round.
Gift Galore
There are a lot of gift and artisan art shops in the Old Town. This is the first one we came across.
Work In Progress
They are renovating this building now. The walls inside are adorned with old murals. It will be interesting to see if they survive the upgrade.
Another Mosque View
On a whim I decided to walk around the front of the mosque as well. For the first time in many years I noticed the staircase that runs up the side of it.
Old Travel Shop
The Moutallos area of Paphos used to be the Turkish Cypriot Quarter. I think this might have been an old travel agents, judging on some of the remaining wall decorations inside. We shall turn left in front of it.

New Old Paphos
It's been a few months since we last reported on the progress of the Old Paphos Regeneration Scheme.I had to visit the main Cyta Shop recently, and as I had time to kill I decided to take my camera for a stroll, to see how things were progressing. eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
