Old Paphos in 2021 - Part 3
Another Car Park

We now find another car park, which is remarkably full. Marks and Spencers is just below it, and the staircase I showed you emerges just behind us. We are walking back towards the Old Post Office now, but on a higher level.

Clean Streets

While we are walking let's give a round of applause to the local Cypriots. Look how tidy it is here. Very little rubbish in evidence. We have two options up ahead. If you go right, you head towards the main church in the area. We shall be going there later.
Picturesque Houses

I thought this house looked very nice with its balcony and rustic doors in the front. I took this picture without noticing that somebody was sitting in the balcony. You can just see their head above the multicoloured rug. Fortunately they waved at me so they obviously didn't mind.
Lovely Lemons

Alex loves lemon trees, and their fruit.
Barber Mural

There are two items of interest here. Firstly, there is the semi-obsured mural called Barber. Secondly, there is a hotel and restaurant called Casa Mespilea on the right hand side. By all accounts this is very nice.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
