Moundiko Nature Trail - Part 2
Turn Left Here
From here on in, the walk gets a bit more interesting.
Puddle Reflections
Walking down the track, I couldn't resist the opportunity to get a reflection shot in this puddle.
The Last Post
Once you reach this signpost, you are on your own for a bit. There are no more route pointers for quite a while. If you stay on the main track you will be fine. It takes you on a route nothing like the map indicated, but you will be fine.
Road To Nowhere
However, I had paid attention to the map, so when the main track loops round and heads back the way I had come, I assumed I must have missed a turning. I then spent quite a while seeking alternate routes.
Woodland Interlude
I eventually found myself doing a bit of bushwhacking through the woods. I knew that if I kept going straight I would come to a gorge. Heading left would be the ideal route for getting back to the car. Going right would eventually take me down to White River Beach. With that in mind, I headed forwards and left. The going was fairly easy, and there were no prickly plants to annoy me. To be honest, it was quite pleasant, and, importantly, shaded.
