Anyway, continuing along the trail, we eventually come to another sign:

In this area to the left, there are orchid habitats that bloom at the end of Winter to early Spring.

It also lists an assortment of orchids. To be honest though, you will see them all over the Akamas at this time of year.

This Way

The route across the Moundiko Plateau is fairly uneventful. If you are lucky you may see some goats, but other than that, you should just enjoy the peace and tranquility.

There is another rest point here, so take a breather if you are feeling tired. There's no hurry.

This walk will be nice at all times of the year. I think it will be at its most beautiful in Spring though.

Erosion

A few weeks ago, I read reports that some ancient human remains had turned up in a remote church near Kathikas. I presume the remains were placed by a tomb robber, but to be honest, the key phrase that stuck in my head was "remote church". After several attempts, the route to the location was found, and we paid it a visit.
