Mavrokolympos Reservoir Reopens
Further Up Stream

Indeed, if you travel further up-stream (or access it via Koili) you will find the fabulous Martiri Gorge. All the water that runs through here heads straight to the baths.

Coast View

While I am here, I may as well update you on other water matters. The desalination plant in Potima Bay is now fully functional and delivering the goods. You can't really see it from here though.

Fortunately I had taken a picture of it in a recent drone flight, so here it is for your perusal. I wonder how the new Marina will fit in with that, if and when etc.
More Desalination News

Also, the desalination unit in Kouklia has now been fully repaired and is functioning as usual again, after last year's fire. I took this picture in July. I was tempted to return and take a more recent picture, but when I was there to take this picture, I received a visit from a mysterious person in an unmarked car who looked a bit official. So I think I will leave well alone. Especially as I was recently led away (very politely and with no fuss) from the Aloe Hotel, as they now have security guards there to stop people filming. Best to keep my nose clean for a while...

Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
