The Local Bar
The buildings in Kritou Terra are a bit of a mix. Some of them look clean and in very good repair.

Other buildings, however, have definitely seen better days. If you are wondering what all the dates are that have been written on the doors here, they are left by Government Inspectors. Why they do this, I have no idea. But whenever they come to spray an area near water with insect repellent (I presume that is what they are doing) they seem compelled to sign and date their visit. On a door like this it doesn't matter. Let's face it, it isn't going to make it look any worse. But they also leave these tags on or around ancient monuments, like the Venetian Bridges. Why don't they do something electronically, using their phones? It would be a lot more efficient, and stop areas from looking like they are covered in graffiti.
Inside
I had no desire to wonder any further into that building. I like urban exploring, but that doesn't look very inviting.
Half And Half
The main part of this building looks like it has been repaired, but they have yet to do anything for the outer wall.
Nicer Houses
Soon you come to an area that is very well looked after though.

Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
