Kato Paphos Part 4 - Pingouino's Area
Familiar View

We have turned left now, and are headed up Poseidonos Avenue towards Geroskipou. If you are a long-term fan of our blogs you may recognise this view. It is where I photograph the carnival when they have it. I figure we could all do with some cheering up, so I have included a page of carnival pictures at the end of this blog. Happy memories...

Towards The Coast Path

There are numerous alleys which take you from the main road to the coast path. In future blogs we shall be covering the hotels themselves.
Bar Street Back Route

There are similar alleys between the main road and Bar Street. This one is lined with murals.
Parking Slots

Oh, one important thing to note. In the past, paying for a parking ticket has been fairly optional, owing to the lack of traffic wardens. However, these days there are a lot more of them, and they travel by scooter, so get around easily. Also, the parking is getting modernised so you will soon be able to buy a parking spot using your phone. Anyway, most parking bays only cost a euro, so do yourself a favour and buy a ticket. They take low denomination coins to, so if you have a pocketful of 10 cent coins, get rid of them in a parking meter.
Hotel Annabelle

There are a number of premium hotels at this end of the Hotel Strip.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
