Kato Paphos Part 3 - Bar Street
Sports Bar

I would say it depends on your age. It might appeal to the young crowd, but if you want a drink rather than a dance, I am told there are much better places to go to. Anywhere along the sea front for a start.

Night Lights

Having said that, I did take these pictures out of season, in November. In the middle of a pandemic. I imagine in non-Pandemic times these places are a lot busier.
Nice Lights

And the lights do look kind of pretty.
However, overall my view of Bar Street is not very flattering. I think it is a blight on Paphos and in desperate need of renovation. A great deal has been spent rejuvenating the Old Town. A similar effort needs to be applied here.
TNR Success

This cat has been neutered. You can tell by their clipped ear.
Blame It On The Boogie

We shall finish Part 3 here. In Part 4 we shall head back to the sea front and walk up to the Almyra. We were going to do that in this blog, but I had to split it in two because the night pictures made it too big for one article. Before that though, we will have a brief interlude from our Kato Paphos tour to do a bit of Bar Street Urban Exploring. Stay tuned...

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
