Kato Paphos Part 2 - The Sea Front
The Wooden Pub!

I've never been to that pub. They appear to have wooden seats outside. I wonder if they serve beer in wooden cups? Decades ago when I worked in London, I occasionally went to a Port and Ale House. They only served one type of ale, and it was served in tankards. It was quite a well-to-do place, but you would get smashed there because the ale was very drinkable yet very strong. I have a vague memory of dancing on a table at one point. Thinking about it, that must have been nearly 30 years ago. Scary, because a few years before that, I remember the fuss they made when St Pepper had it's 20 years anniversary. I remember thinking it was ancient because it had been released the year before I was born. Now all the music I tend to relate to, from the Britpop era etc, is even older than that. Time is a very relative beast.

Pizza Express

I've never been to that Pizza Express? Is it anything like the Pizza Expresses you get in the UK?
A Statue Awaits

This is a very popular attraction, and difficult to photograph in isolation. It is another statue by local artist Yiota Ioannidou.
The Little Fisherman

Yiota has a number of statues dotted around Paphos, and they are all very special. This one is difficult to photograph because so many people want to photograph him! Over the years I've seen numerous poses. People hug him, kiss him, put a hat on him. Once I even saw somebody sat down playing chess against him.

Art is an important aspect of our lives, and our artists need to be cherished and supported.
