Paphos Harbour Walkway August Update
Nice Curves

The Walkway here certainly looks very nice.

Future Prospects

It doesn't give us much of a clue as to what the finished product by the Castle will look like. However, if it is of a similar high quality, then it will certainly be worth waiting for.
Elysium Hotel

We are often asked how to get to the Lighthouse Beach. From the Mall Roundabout, drive towards Coral Bay. You will soon see a sign pointing left to the Municipal Beach. If you turn there it takes you straight to it. If you miss the turning, stay on the Coast Road until you come to the traffic lights by Duomo Restaurant. Turn left there, and it brings you down to the Elysium Hotel. Follow the road left, along the coast, past Kefalos Village, and it brings you to the beach that way as well. It is worth knowing this route because if you want to get to Kato Paphos after your visit to the beach you will need to take this route in reverse, otherwise you won't be able to turn right when you hit the coast road.
Elysium Hotel Beach

You can of course also use the beach here. All beaches in Cyprus are open to the Public. The sunbeds here are a different story though. So if you fancy a dip, bring your own deckchair.
Tomb of the Kings

We shall finish with a look at the Tomb Of The Kings. The Coast Path continues along here to Venus Beach. Eventually, it is rumoured, you will be able to walk all the way to Coral Bay. You can also get most of the way, with a couple of breaks. In a few years time, the Paphos Coastline will be magnificent, especially if you fancy a walk.

Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
