Paphos Harbour Walkway August Update

Moving On Up
While there is a lot of activity at the Harbour end, there isn't a lot to say about it. So let's follow the course of the path around to Lighthouse Beach and beyond, to see what the finished product will look like.
Centrepiece
This is at the Point. I originally thought there was going to be a kiosk or something similar here, but that clearly isn't happening, so I will refrain from speculating any further.
Lighthouse View
This part of the walkway looks finished now.
Lighthouse Beach
They are still doing a bit of work at Lighthouse Beach itself. They are also working on the carpark here. You cannot use it at the moment. However, the beach and cafe are still open.
Beach Volleyball
Looks like they take their beach sports seriously here.

Recently the Mayor Of Paphos announced numerous contracts for improving the sea front and harbour area. The contracts were not only for the introduction of new facilities though. Some of the money was allocated for maintenance and upkeep of the existing facilities. MapPaphos Harbour Walkway - August Update
They are ramping up the effort at the Castle End of the Coastal Walkway, so hopefully it will be opening again soon. In the August update we take a look at what they are doing, before turning the camera further up the coast to the Lighthouse Beach and Elysium Hotel. The new path is already installed there, and gives a good insight as to what the Harbour portion will look like when complete.

Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
