From Polis to Limni Pier
Wartime Defences
On the way to Limni Pier you pass this old defence. I think there is a wasps' nest in it, if I remember correctly, so explore with caution.
Another New River
This was a surprise, though I should have expected it. Another new river now runs between the pill box and the pier. I should have expected it, because there is a line of bamboo and trees running from the beach to the road here, and you would only get that where there is a source of water.
Jump Across Carefully
The thing I love about these occasional streams is that you can look and stare at them all you want but they aren't going anywhere. If you want to cross, you have to carefully find a route, or lug some big boulders into the middle.
To The Pier
We're nearly at the pier now. It is a popular spot. Handy in the summer because you can jump off the end of it and have a good swim without having to walk on lots of rocks and pebbles. Oh and speaking of rocks, though the beach here is quite pebbly, a lot of the beach under the sea is actually very sandy.

Magic Crystals

Polis Beach took a bit of a battering over the winter months. An unexpected river came for a visit, and left it in a bit of a state. We were curious to see if it was once again beach fit...Good Pages To Visit
