From Polis to Limni Pier
Multiple Personalities

I wasn't alone on this outing. Alex was with me, taking her own pictures. She is experimenting at the moment, with various filters and camera modes. She is far more patient than I am.

Macro Flower

She is also a fan of macro-photography...

...and flowers in general.
Dedication

I took this picture of her trying to get some sea shots with a special filter. She must have lay there for a good twenty minutes.
Eerie Sea

The result was this dream-like effect. I wouldn't normally use it in a blog, unless it was a blog on photography, but I like the effect and am including it here because I also have regular shots of the sea, so nobody will see the above image and think that that is what the sea actually looks like. If you see what I mean.
We have recently started posting galleries of images that didn't fit in blogs on our facebook page, and you will see a lot more of Alex's work appearing there. The first gallery was very popular, so expect to see lots of bee and flower shots appearing soon. If you haven't already done so, why not like our Facebook page so you get notifications when they are posted?

Magic Crystals
Yesterday my wife said she wanted to go out crystal hunting, so we drove into the forest for a scavenge, and followed it with a quick dip in the ocean near Polis. Playing with one of the crystals, I thought I would leave a gift for a random beach-comber, but got a surprise of my own...

Polis Beach took a bit of a battering over the winter months. An unexpected river came for a visit, and left it in a bit of a state. We were curious to see if it was once again beach fit...Good Pages To Visit

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
