Droushia Lowlands
Mini Gorge

As Alex clicked away, I wandered across the field next to the water feature, to the dried-up river. There was a funny metal frame here which protected some pipes that spanned the stream. There was also a tiny puddle that still contained some flowing water, so a trickle does at least still run through here.
To The Sea

I was puzzled when I stood here taking these pictures, as I couldn't work out where the river would flow to. I know there is a big bridge in Polis, but that is for the river Chrysochou, which flows down from Evretou Reservoir. I couldn't remember seeing any other bridges along the Polis - Akamas road. However, as luck would have it, I drove through Latchi today, and saw another bridge there. According to the map, it goes over the River St John, which comes down from the quarry. When it cools down a bit it would be interesting to follow the course of this river as it heads to the sea.

Potential Pie

Blackberries! In a few weeks these will be ripe, and suitable for blackberry and apple pie. I used to love picking them back in England.
Perched Perfection

Anyway, we had returned to civilisation, and decided to head up past the quarry to Droushia.
