Cyprus in Pictures - June 2024
Paphos Castle
Here's a nice reflective shot of Paphos Castle.
A Slice of Paradise
For a change of pace, head to the North Coast of Paphos. This is a shot of the restaurant by Aphrodite's Baths and Hidden Beach. Utterly gorgeous.
Archaeological Park Entrance
I finally found out some more information on the Clock Tower on the right of this picture. The four sides represent the four Houses that can be found in the Archaeological Park. The Houses of Dionysos, Aion, Theseus and Orpheus are all referenced. And the fact that none of the clocks work symbolises the decline of the Roman Empire as a whole.
Cape Drepanum
If you go to Agios Georgios at the South-Eastern tip (happy?) of the Akamas you will see a lovely Church but may well be unaware of Cape Drepanum. This is a row of caves / tombs that run beyond the car park in front of the Chapel. The easiest way to access them is from the steps at the top, though you can get to them from below as well if you are so inclined.
Limni Pier
Returning to the North Coast, Limni Pier is always worth a visit if you are on the way to Argaka or Pomos.
