Coral Bay Strip Update - February 2024
Cash n Carry?

After I wrote the last article Demetris sent me some more information, including the all-important completion date. The main work was due to finish by the end of April, with all the landscaping being completed in the start of May. I had several questions to ask and one of them would obviously be whether this was still likely to happen. If you read nothing else of this article then at least know that yes, they are on schedule.

Down The Drain

The plan was that we would walk most of the length of the Strip and I would ask questions as we went. To break the ice I asked what was happening here. The answer, unsurprisingly, is that they are laying new water drainage pipes and cables.
Meet The Contractor

On the way around we were introduced to Pambos (please excuse any spelling errors of names by the way). He was the owner of the main Contractor Company on site. According to Demetris he has been working long into the night to ensure they remain on schedule, so full marks to Pambos!
Impressive Pipes

It was nice to see the work up close.
New Surface

Demetris explained that the contractor had found the existing surface to be not strong enough, so they have added a layer of hardcore to reinforce it. The project is in two phases and later you will see where Phase 2 begins, as there is no hardcore there yet.
