Coral Bay Linear Park
A Penny Well Spent
This building is in the centre of the park. I am guessing that when the park opens these will be used as a toilet. I couldn't test this theory though, as the doors were all locked.
Another Entrance
The park runs along the course of the Xeros River. I should stress that it is not THE Xeros River, which runs into the Asprokremmos Reservoir on the other side of Paphos. No, this one starts in the hills around Kathikas. Anyway, it runs down to the sea just to the east of Coral Bay Strip. The park will form a barrier between the villas and the main Coast Road.
Gym Area
We have now entered the more active part of the park. There is an outdoor gym here that is not yet open. The equipment is in place but it is still wrapped up.
Mystery Court
After the outdoor gym you arrive at a number of sports courts. The first one is a mystery to me. The closest I could find is Pickleball. Does anybody know what it actually is?
Basketball
After that you will find a basketball court. The waterpark behind it is part of the Aqua Sol Holiday Village And Waterpark.

Coral Bay Strip Update - February 2024
A month ago we reported on the building work that was happening to the Coral Bay Strip. As a result of that article the chief Engineer of the Project contacted us and offered to give us a site tour and tell us exactly what was going on. So on tuesday we were given the grand tour.

Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
