Go Up Here

At some point, you do have to go up for a bit. Basically, you run out of path. If you miss this point, you can still get back to the road without any hassles. It just isn't quite so scenic.

Strange...

Every time I visit this route, and we come here at least twice a year, I get confused at this point....

The reason I get confused, is because it changes so much. The route goes past a rocky outcrop. This was the view from there the first time we passed. It was a lovely scenic view of the surrounding valley.

Current View: A Bit Overgrown

Now though, the viewpoint has completely vanished beneath the encroaching flora.

Before I realised where the viewpoint had gone, I spent ages looking for it, and if you miss it yourself, rest assured, you can still get back to the main road without finding it.

From Vretsia to Kelefos

This is another Road-Trip blog. Paphos Forest contains many treasures, and two of it's finest are the Venetian Bridges Roudia and Kelefos. Of the two, the latter is easy to locate. However, Roudia eluded us for some time, as it is easy to miss, being buried in woodland. So we have put together this guide, showing the route we took from our starting point of the abandoned village of Vretsia, through the forest to Kelefos and beyond. The aim of this blog is not to provide a de-facto route through the forest. After all, tracks get closed, and new tracks get opened every year. No, we mainly want to show you what you can expect to find should you decide to venture into the forest. We will do other blogs on the bridges themselves; today is all about the journey...
