Cyprus In Pictures - April 2023
Fishy Boy

I took this shot to give you an alternate view of the Boy and the Fish. The fencing kind of ruins the image, but that has now gone.

SODAP Beach

They are currently in the process of cleaning the beaches, and in the next week or two the sunbeds will start appearing in earnest.
The Queen Of The Cats

When I posted this shot I particularly liked how the black cat appeared to have two guards below her pedestal. I incorrectly called her the King of the Cats. The Paphos Cat Lady informed me that it is actually a Queen, called Mama. She likes her food up there too. This is one of the many feeding stations run by Gaynor. If you would like to help her out, then you can make a donation on the Paphos Cat Lady Official Website.
Popular View

I mentioned at the start of the article that the April Fools picture with Nessie was the most popular item we had posted. Well that was until I took this picture. The cropped version was seen by over half a million people and received 4700 likes. Personally I am very happy about this, as I put in some effort to get this shot, whereas the Nessie one was a throwaway joke. So thank you to everybody who shared and liked it.
Kennedy Square

Recently the Mayor posted a picture on social media showing what Kennedy Square looked like before it was renovated. You wouldn't believe how much it has been improved. On the left of this shot you can also see the delightful Kiniras Hotel.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
