We sat for a while on one side, as we waited for the crowds to arrive. I was unhappy with the lighting here though, so I eventually moved to the other side.

There were official photographers there too, who were allowed to get a closeup of the Arch Bishop. This is one of their shots, from the press release.

Familiar Face

I recognised the first speaker as the Municipal Engineer, Mr Pantelis Pantelidis. I had interviewed him last year regarding the Coral Bay Strip upgrade.

On the table there were also three bouquets of flowers. The basil here is used (I believe) in the blessing ceremony.

I think the other two were gifts, and very pretty ones at that.
