Agios Georgios Update
They've been renovating the restaurant that overlooks Agios Georgios Harbour, on the edge of the Akamas. Yesterday we were in the area so thought we would have a look to see how they were getting on. They have been busy...
Opening Soon!

We had set out on Saturday to do a driving film to Last Castle Restaurant. You can see that tonight. Once we had reached the popular tavern via the coastal route, we returned to Agios Georgios Harbour via the diversion. Upon arriving at the harbour we couldn't help but notice that the builders had been busy...

This is the main road down to the harbour. I assume that it is in the process of being resurfaced. The Archaeological Park is on the left. On the right, behind the metal sheets, is where the kiosk stood. More on that in a bit.
Aerial View

It was blowing a gale but I launched the drone for a quick flight. The restaurant itself is looking nearly complete.
Landscaping

Closer Look

The area itself is an active building site, so we couldn't just wander around without permission. Instead, we took a few snaps from the safety of the road and car park.

Agios Georgios Harbour
Given that Cyprus is an island, there are surprisingly few harbours on its coastline. One such can be found at Agios Georgios, on the edge of the Akamas. eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
