St Georges Beach and Monument
Ferocious Guard Cat

There was a cat here who looked like the brother of one of the cats that live near our house in Polemi. I don't mean one of our four cats, but one who died of old age just after their arrival. He was a lovely old thing, though he wasn't too happy when kittens arrived on the scene.

Beach Games

There is an ice cream stand here, to the right of this picture. There is also a game here. Unfortunately, but unsurprisingly, everything was closed at the moment,
Nice Hotel

I don't think the hotel is open at the moment either. They are in the process of giving it a spring-clean from what I could see. For more information on St George's Hotel, click here.
Men At Work

Believe it or not, there are actually workmen in these palm trees,. You can just about make one out in the middle one. They were cutting back the dead wood.
Enjoy The Film
I also made a little film with the drone, which you can see here. I shall return in the summer to take some more pictures of the beach when it is being used. I shall also do a few films of the walk from Sandy Beach to the Harbour. So consider this article to be an introduction only!

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
