St Georges Beach and Monument

Walkway Scenes

On the wall by the walkway there are three stone pictures, protected from the elements by glass panels. This was one of them. It depicts General George Grivas, leader of EOKA during the 50s, and one of Cyprus' war heroes.

The Statue

Not Convinced

I like most of the statues and sculptures I find on my travels around Cyprus, but this bird's nest doesn't do anything for me I'm afraid.

Which Do You Prefer?

The statue of the General is a different matter entirely though. Very nice.

Hotel Grounds

It's time to head back to the car now. I shall return via the coast path through the hotel grounds.
