The Sodap Beach Cafe
Paphos Flights
Hear you can see a distant airplane taking off from Paphos Airport. When flying the drone, the airport is something I have to bear in mind at all times. My drone has all the no-fly zones programmed in, so it is physically impossible for me to fly somewhere I shouldn't. However, some of the no-fly zone extends to areas around Paphos Sea Front. I cannot, for instance, legally (or physically) fly my drone above the very picturesque St Nicholas Chapel, as that is within the no-fly zone. This is a shame, but completely understandable.
The Next Beach Along
You can find all the beaches in our Paphos Beach Directory. I need to update that because Sandy Beach has been made Blue Flag, but if you check it out you will see nearly all the beaches, complete with extra photos and virtual tours.
Harbour View
Once I took these pictures, I drove down to the harbour and up to the Mall. I wanted to film the road, which had recently re-opened.
Walkway Under Construction
You can see from this still taken from the film, that they are still hard at work on the walkway. This will eventually link the Archaeological Park with the ruins on Fabrica Hill. It will be an interesting if somewhat hot walk.
Enjoy The Film
Here's the film that features a tour of the cafe at the start. If you haven't already seen it (it is proving rather popular) sit back and enjoy.
The Cafe demonstrates that Paphos can deliver the goods. To all the critics who bad-mouthed it before it was even constructed, I say give it a chance. It really brings the area alive. Well done to all concerned.

Sodap Beach Update
There was recently a bit of a kerfuffle in the press about the new cafe that is being built at the SODAP beach in Paphos. We couldn't help notice that the pictures used all showed the beach from one angle. So we took a New Year's Eve trip down to the coast, to get a clearer picture. Now you can judge for yourself just how much of an encroachment this cafe will be.Paphos Beaches
