Public Inconveniences
For now though, not even the toilets are open.
Coastal Boardwalk
Soon you will arrive at the start of the path that runs all the way down to Paphos Harbour. In the fullness of time, it will run much further than that, too. Rumour has it that it will get you all the way to Coral Bay. Time will tell.
Water Sports
Unlike the beaches, the local water sports centre was up and running and looking forwards to your business.
Louis Phaethon Beach
I shall leave you looking at the Louis Phaethon Beach. This is the first of the hotels you will pass on the walk down to the Harbour. After this, you will walk through a rather barren area before arriving at St Nicholas Chapel and some more hotels. We shall cover this area in our next article.

The other day I went out to photograph some of the beaches around Paphos. We have a beaches directory and I figured it needed some more up-to-date images. However, it soon became apparent that the beaches are still getting prepared for the Summer Season. So while the pictures I took won't be suitable for the directory, I thought you might like to see what's occurring. In this article, we take a look at Riccos Beach Area, in Geroskipou.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
