Polis Beaches Part 2

Published 25th of August, 2020

In this report we originally planned on showing you the beaches from Kato Pyrgos to Polis. However, there were so many that we have had to split it in two, so join us as we travel from Kato Pyrgos to the outskirts of Pomos. In our next blog we will continue the journey to Polis.

End Of The Line

The journey to Kato Pyrgos is straightforward. You get on the coast road from Polis and stay on it until you come to the border. Then you turn around and head for the car park by the church. If you do that you will see a sign for a medieval fort. Follow that sign, and you will see another sign for a beach. This is the beach.

Grape Beach

There is a tavern here too, as well as a small car park.

View From The Fort

You should also visit the old fort while you are here, as there are spectacular views of the entire valley.

Kato Pyrgos Campsite

Just up from Grape Beach is the campsite. We were very impressed with this. There were plenty of bins here, that were being used, and the area was very clean.

The Pomos Coast

Pomos is quite a trip from Paphos, but it is most definitely worth it. We were up that way to visit some abandoned villages and overflowing reservoirs this week, but stopped to take in the coast along the way. The countryside up there is breathtaking, and well worth a visit. Here's a short selection of what to expect.
