From Polis to Limni Pier
Reflections on the Campsite

So while we were here we looked for other interesting things to photograph, now that it was clear that there wasn't going to be a decent sunset.

Brave Campers

I was impressed they managed to get that little car there. The road into the campsite was a quagmire.
No Magic Crystals

This had been our plan: to get the setting sun shining on some Limni Mine Crystals. We did it once before by accident, so thought we would bring out the big guns and go for a better display. Unfortunately, without a clear sky, the effect doesn't work.
Up the Coast

Returning yesterday, we went up the coast a bit in the direction of the pier. The beaches were lovely and calm with not a soul in site. We didn't even see that friendly chap who goes jogging up and down this beach regularly, and always waves hello.
Brutalism in Nature

I know it is a tragic sight - the scorched hills of Paphos Forest behind Argaka - but there is still something magnificent about their appearance.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
