On 29 March 1139, Pope Innocent II issued the papal bull Omne Datum Optimum, stating that the Templars could freely cross any borders, were exempt from taxes, and were subject only to the Pope himself.

As well as the shield and helmet, the knight would be equipped with a chain mail jumper. You can pick this one up. It is quite heavy.


The order quickly gained power in many of its endeavours, being revolutionary and ahead of its time by centuries.
