Geroskipou Shrine Caves Revisited
Kiddies' Play Area
They've been renovating the Shrine Caves for a while now, and one of the benefits has been this children's play area.

    Cave Area
Most of the caves are past the church. These are all fairly shallow, in that they don't go far into the rock. However, there are a couple of fenced off holes which go all the way to the centre of Geroskipou. I read somewhere that the fences were there because the air in the longer caves was not good.
Anyway, this article isn't supposed to be about the Shrine Caves. I want to explore the surrounding area a bit. So let's head back to that interesting building.
More Caves
On the way though, I couldn't help but notice that these caves looked a lot more clear and accessible now. Was this part of the Shrine Cave renovation?
Somebody had obviously been clearing the area around the path, as evidenced by the binbags.
