Exploring The Village Of Steni
One More
The film will also show you the nearby monastery. I am not including that in this article though, as I reported on that years ago and it hasn't changed since then. For more info see here:
Neromylos "Watermill" Cafe-Taverna
Here's a shot of the Main Square from the other side. You can see the Coffee Shop in the foreground and the Municipal Building above it in the centre. I am the figure on the left, next to the car. While I was flying this a local man said hello, and returned with some delicious watermelon for Alex and I. It was most appreciated, especially in the heat.
Anyway, further up in the centre of the picture you can see the tavern I mentioned. Neromylos gets very high reviews on Google, and is indicitive of the quality of the food you will find in the villages around Paphos. You really should visit one if you are hiring a car on your holiday. I can assure you you won't be disappointed.
On The Ground
That's enough drone flying, let's take a walk around the Square and have a look at the museum.
Coffee Seating
There is a covered area near the Coffee Shop, which is a very good idea. I imagine it is useful when they have village festivals as well.
Playground
Next to that is a child's play area and some vintage village tools, possibly to do with the nearby old mill. If you are hungry for historical information though, you need to step inside the building and enter the Museum of Village Life.
