This is the main entrance. The staircase on the right leads to the upper parking area. The Information Desk is to the left of this shot. It wasn't manned when we arrived though. Perhaps they were on a break?

As you enter the museum you will see a Donations Box, and a sign telling you not to touch the exhibits. Please bring along a few coins or a note or two, as these places need to be encouraged! I know it can be difficult to carry money, now that banks are so hard to find, but if you have some spare change, use it here.
Walk This Way
The museum consists of one, large room. That doesn't sound much, but they have packed an awful lot of exhibits into that room, and I did say it was large!

Within the room there are various designated areas, each of which contains a scene out of village life.
Fabric Making
This area was devoted to weaving.

Steni is a charming little village which lies between Lysos and Polis on the northern side of Paphos. As well as an historic monastery it also has a lovely Museum of Village Life which is well worth visiting. While you are there, be sure to admire the new bridge that is being constructed nearby. We took our drone with to get a decent look at it.

Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
