I didn't explore down there. There is a line between having a casual wander and poking your nose where it doesn't belong. Put it another way, if a policeman saw me on the lawn it would look a lot less suspicious than if he saw me down here amongst the bins.

The tennis courts still looked playable. I wonder if they ever get used now?

Funny Vents

Walking around the back of the hotel, I came across these funny vents. This is what I was referring to when I mentioned that there was more underground than you might think. Are the kitchens below here or something? It would make sense as it would allow more of the prime hotel area to be used for bedrooms.

Return to The Abandoned Ranch

The other day we saw an article about a mysterious church that had appeared in the Kouris Reservoir because of the low water level. When we got there it turned out to be a case of bad journalism. However, as we were in the area, we decided to revisit the abandoned Rancho Appaloosa, to see how much it had changed since we first found the place, in 2016.

We were out exploring in the Akamas the other day, and we came across this lovely old Olive Tree. I can't help wondering how long it has stood here...
